Many students are pressured by teachers, parents or more often, the educational process to study intensely. Just like adults at workplace, students may also experience burnouts and reduced cognitive performance. In this situation, stress will accumulate and they feel that they are no longer able to perform well. It is important for students to know when they should take a break. However, this activity could actually stress them even further; because they are concerned that they spend time off the daily studying schedule. It is important for children to make sure that they are not stuck perpetually in the whole vicious cycle. In fact, the entire situation can actually ensure their eventual failure. This will make sure that students are able to go full steam ahead at their own pace. Students should know that a mental and physical limit exists. Burnout should be seen as a clear signal that they have reached their limit. In this situation, students shouldn’t aggravate their already fragile situation. Although children should be obedient and smart; they also need to stay relax when it is not the time for studying. In this situation, students can define activities that can bring them full relaxation, even if it’s just a simple nap. Studies have shown that even a 15-minute nap can enhance productivity for the rest of the day.
  2. Re-evaluate plan: People who don’t have plan will more likely to have burnout and poor planning can also produce poor results. Without a good plan, students will not know things that they have covered. This will cause inefficient schedules and when too much time is wasted for limited results; burnout will likely happen. Students should know that a mental plan won’t work. A plan should be detailed enough and created as spreadsheet. In this case, students will know what they have achieved in a single period of time.
  3. Find a good company: Students who study with one or two other students often find that they can ease burnout more easily. During rest periods; they share their thoughts about the current condition. Knowing that someone else is having the same condition could ease our mind; this is an obvious fact in real life.
  4. Perform physical exercise: Students shouldn’t be glued to their wondering, spending hours in a sedentary lifestyle. During busy studying schedule, it isn’t even necessary to hit the track or the gym. They can do 30-minute of medium-intensity body movements in front of a favourite TV show or sitcom.
  5. Listen to music: Music can have significant therapeutical benefits for many students. Each person has their own musical preferences. They could simply plug in their iPod to listen to a favourite tune. This can also be performed during the light exercise session to refresh both our mind and body.
